ABOUT ELBFA

The Elmer Lacknet Bedia Football Academy (ELBFA) was established last March 30, 2013 at the Barotac Nuevo Elementary School in the Philippines with a theme of ''Play Football, Stay in School and Be Cool''.

Elmer and the Barotacnons from Canada, specially the family of the late Jose Rizal Scout Hector Saul Villanueva kicked off the Academy.

They also organised a football tournament for Under 13 players among Ilaya FC, Tamasak FC and Estancia FC.

Helping Bedia in this project is Canada based Barotacnon Nida S. Villanueva Noble. She is a nurse and an avid sports fan. She believes in the vision of Elmer to help kids from Barotac Nuevo.

''This project is good, we can help the children learn basic and advance skills in football in a non-political environment. Elmer realised his potential to help young generation by sharing his knowledge and skills and in turn inspire them to do well,'' she said.

Noble also added that she realised that by helping children play, they hope to see well adjusted kids socially, emotionally, physically fit, confident, courteous, patient, respectful and loving.

Elmer is also extending his academy in Brisbane Australia, as he is holding Football Tranining Session for the kids ages 6-16 every Saturday at Barry Whyte field, home of the Greenbank Football Club where he was recently appointed as the Men's Senior Team Head Coach.
